Aaron Domingo
Mr AARON JOHN DOMINGO died at sea on Thursday, 23rd October, 1975. Aaron was Chief Scout's Commissioner for the Coloured Association, a position he had held with distinction for some years since 1968. He was Secretary of the Coloured Representative Council and as such was the highest ranking Coloured civil servant in South Africa. After he had attended the 1975 14th World Jamboree in Norway, and the World Scout Conference, he suffered a heart attack and spent some time in a London Nursing Home. He died of a further heart attack while on the way home on the S.A. Vaal and was buried at sea.
In his character and personality he embodied all that is best in Scouting, being friendly and sincere and a man of leadership and decision. His many friends in all sections of the Movement will miss him. To his wife and family, and to our brother Scouts of the Coloured Association we extend sincere sympathy in their loss.
