Equipment
- One metal bucket or crate to stand on
- A cricket bat or short stave
- A ball (tennis ball or larger soft ball)
How to play
- The scouts form a circle facing inwards. In the centre, place a metal bucket upside down. The batter stands on top of the bucket with a bat. The fielding team is outside the circle.
- The batter defends the bucket from the fielding team throwing the ball at the bucket by hitting the ball.
- The batter is out when the ball hits the bucket, is caught by a fielder on a fly, or he falls off the bucket.
- Two runs are scored for each time a batter hits a ball that is not caught and one run each time the ball is thrown at the bucket and misses or is not and is not batted.
