Cub Salute

The salute is a special way of greeting a person. It is used when you greet Akela and other Scouters, and all the other Cubs and Scouts. You also use it when you make your Cub Promise and at Grand Howl and Flag Break.

You salute with the forefinger and middle finger of your right hand. Your forefinger touches the side of the peak of your cap. The two fingers remind you of the two parts of the Cub Law you have promised to keep.
