The double lock bridge can bridge a wider gap than the smaller single lock bridge which works on the same principle. It consists of three interlocking, totally separate pieces, namely two trestles and a joining frame. Each piece is to be built separately, interlinked and then lashed together to make a free-standing sturdy bridge that can be totally portable. The trestle legs should be as close to 45° as possible.
