Hawequas Scout Adventure Centre

Hawequas Scout Adventure Centre is the main campsite for Scouting in the Western Cape.

The 230 hectare Hawequas campsite is located in the foothills of the Limietberg mountains just outside Wellington, below Du Toit's Kloof, one hour’s drive from Cape Town.

Hawequas aims to be the flagship outdoor adventure activity and environmental education centre for youth in the Western Cape. Natural beauty abounds on the property, 95% of which is comprised of undisturbed fynbos of exceptionally high biodiversity conservation value in the Cape Floristic Region, in an area of transition from lowland to mountain fynbos. Hawequas forms part of the buffer zone for the neighbouring Limietberg Nature Reserve managed by Cape Nature and the adjacent farmland, and is an important water catchment area.
