The mnemonic to remember the treatment of sprains is R.I.C.E
- R - Rest
- I - Ice
- C - Compression
- E - Elevation
Slightly different uses of RICE:
- Red Cross training : R - Rest, I - Immobilise, C - Cool , and E - Elevate.
After 4 days of RICE you may begin "L.O.V.E."
- L - Load
- O - Optimism
- V - Vascularisation
- E - Exercise
