- Scripture Knowledge: Locate in the relevant text in your own Bible and explain two stories ONE from each of the Sections A and B:
- A. Moses; Samuel; Gideon.
- B. Jesus calling his Disciples; Healing of the Centurion's.
- Regularly attend Sunday School or your place of worship.
- Give Thanks (Say Grace).
- Explain the meaning of Prayer.
- Say a short prayer on a given subject.
- Name the Gospels and the Epistles and know the difference in meaning.
- Explain the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament. State the number of books in each.
- General: Answer questions relating to your religious order and procedures at the discretion of the Examiner, who will bear in mind your age.

- Recite the 10 Commandments and explain their meaning.
- Read in Hebrew - V'Ahavta, Avat, Kiddush.
- Maintain regular attendance at Synagogue services (Friday evening and Saturday morning) for at least six months.
- Read and interpret Friday evening and Saturday morning services.
- Describe the work of at least 3 charitable organisations to which you have contributed.
- Give brief outline of Jewish history from division of the Kingdom down to Babylonian Exile.
- Name the first 3 Kings of Israel and tell something about each.
- Read a book of Jewish biography or history and tell about its contents.

- Discuss with the examiner how you have brought the Arkanul Islam and Arkanul Imaan alive in your life. Iblis – the heavenly body also known as the leader of the Shayateen disobeyed ONE command of Allah. Iblis displayed a characteristic that is MOST disliked by ALLAH – haughtiness – the denouncing of which is a qualifying characteristic to be a Muslim. Show the examiner that you understand this concept.
- The purity of water plays a critical role in Islam. It is required for ablution before prayer and ghusl. List the different types of water you can use to cleanse yourself (Ghusl)
- The importance of cleanliness cannot be emphasized enough in Islam.
- Girls – Discuss the various impure states you can find yourself in and discuss with the examiner and how you should purify yourself once you have reached the end of your menstrual period.
- Boys – Discuss the states of impurity that you can bring upon yourself and what steps you should take when bathing to cleanse yourself.
- Describe 10 aspects of the life of the Prophet Muhammed – 5 before the Hijra and 5 after.
- After having done research, describe the work of three Islamic charitable organizations.
- Prophet Ebrahim (Abraham) is known as the Father of Monotheism. After reading up on his life, discuss with the examiner your thoughts on the command of Allah to sacrifice his son Ismaeel.
- Adab (Arabic:) in the context of behaviour, refers to prescribed Islamic etiquette: "refinement, good manners, morals, decorum, decency, humaneness". Akhlaaq (Good Manners). Praise be to Allah. Firstly: A good attitude is the characteristic of the best of the Messengers and is the best action of the righteous.
- Provide the examiner with examples in your life where you have displayed good Adab and Akhlaaq and where you have improved on existing practices.
- Demonstrate the proper etiquette to be observed upon preparing to sleep, waking up, eating with your hand including all relevant niyyah and duahs
- Maintain regular attendance at religious services, perform daily salaah and provide evidence that you are continuously increasing your knowledge and understanding of Islam.
- Demonstrate that you are able to perform Salaahtul Janazah (Prayer on the deceased).
- Recite a duah on the deceased and read the meaning of the duah.

- Chant the Mantras of the Ishwar Upasana and give their meanings.
- Maintain regular attendance at religious services.
- Know the significance of:

- Describe the welfare and humanitarian work of:
- The Ayran Benevolent Home.
- The Divine Life Society.
- The Ramakrishna Centre.
- Any other body.
- Study the lives of the following
- Swami Vivakananda.
- Swami Savananda.
- Swami Dayananda.
- Meera Bai.
- Read the contents of "The Elementary teachings of Hinduism" (A Veda Nikatan Pub.)
- Read and know Chapters two, three and four of the Bhagavad Gita.
