Stop, Drop and Roll

Task 4: Explain why and when you should stop, drop and roll.

Time: 10 minutes

Equipment: Flames - Printed, cut out, and laminated. Double-sided tape.

Keep it in an envelope (or a Ziplock bag) and store it in your Game Box.

Method:

This game is a version of tag. Use more than one flame for a bigger group of Meerkats.

Give the flame with double-sided tape at the back to a Meerkat, the Meerkat must run and tag the next Meerkat by sticking the flames to the Meerkat's clothing. The tagged Meerkat should first stop, drop and roll before they take the flames and run to tag the next Meerkat.

Memory Game

Task 10: Play a memory game with the most common road signs.

Time: 10 minutes

Equipment: Road Signs - Printed, cut out, and laminated.

Keep it in an envelope (or a Ziplock bag) and store it in your Game Box.

Method:

This game is a typical memory game. The cards are placed upside down and the Meerkats must find matching cards by turning 2 around at a time. If they are not matching, the cards are put back in place face down, while they remember where those specific signs were to select when it is their turn again.

This activity can also apply to the Observer Badge, Task 2
