History
Tech is Scouts South Africa has generally been something which local groups have built to solve their needs, and ended up growing into something for a regional or national level.
As such, you might have noticed how each project is very set apart from other in style, vision, auth and their overarching roadmaps.
Going forward, we're not wanting to stop that approach, (for new projects to stem directly from problems on the ground) but we are wanting to make it easier for those ideas to become solutions. Be it server hosting, advice, development or just access to a broad tech community for inspiration.

Scouts IT has historically been quite closed to contributors and had quite a high friction onboarding for those taking the plunge
That is something which has been shifting a lot recently and has fundamentally changed. We are super enthusiastic about anyone who'd like to get involved. If you only have 30 minutes a month, we'd love it if you could give use that 30 minute and we'll be striving to put that time to good use, with high impact.
