The Strip log is used for hike reports. It is used because it gives all the relevant information laid out in a neat format. It can form part of the more formal hike log book.

When using the log, use each page for two or three sections of map..

Any sketches may be included in the body of the report. The map should only include features near the route being followed. Photographs, leaf impressions or more detailed maps of sites should be on separate left hand pages of the log book.
