The Jungle Book Characters

From SCOUTS South Africa Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Much of the theme of Cubbing is based on The Jungle Book, and as such it is tradition for Pack Scouters, Assistants and Pack Helpers to draw names from the characters of The Jungle Book and Rudyard Kipling's other works as titles. Scouters in other sections of the Group may also use these nicknames, however Troop Scouters more commonly use generic animal names.

Traditionally, the Pack Scouter always takes the title of Akela, regardless of gender.
