The Docker's splice is sometimes known as the Marline Eye splice or the Tucked Eye splice.
It is a quick and easy method to produce a temporary eye in a rope.
- Open the lay of the rope
- Push the running end through the raised strand to make and eye
- Adjust to the desired eye size.
- Open the lay of the standing part of the rope.
- Push the running end though. Be sure to have enough length on the running end.
- Improvise a guyline for an A-Frame tent.
