Tiny started her Scouting career in 1955 taking over from a minister running a Cub Pack in Kimberley, after the Akela was injured in a motor accident. This was the SOE (Sons of England) Group.

She did her training in Johannesburg over weekends, taking trains and busses to get there on Friday evenings and returning in time for work on the Monday.

Tiny attended the 1957 World Jamboree and met her future husband Raymond on board the 'Union Castle' ship the took them to England. Raymond was a Queen's Scout and was also involved in Scouting on various levels.

She had to give up the pack in 1959 moving to Port Elizabeth to get married the following year. Tiny took over the Algoa Sea Scouts in 1960, then back to Akela 1963, followed by various other ranks, all at the Bingly Street Hall (today Eastern Cape HQ and where their archives is situated).

In 1974 Tiny started to work at Area HQ (Eastern Cape) and eventually became the Area Secretary with relief work in between until the 1990's. Tiny then became a 'roaming Scouter', gathering and collecting archive material.

Tiny is a Wood Badge Holder with 60 years service and Bar to the Silver Protea holder. She has a son Lance (Springbok Scout) living in Bloemfontein and daughter Janet (nee Dely, a Founder Guide) living in Johannesburg.

In 2017 Tiny left Port Elizabeth and settled in Bloemfontein near her son.

Sadly, Tiny succumbed to Covid-19 and passed away on 10 January 2021.
