Kon-Tiki Outeniqua
Kon-Tiki Outeniqua District is one of several Kon-Tiki raft building events that take place around South Africa, where Scout Troops build a raft from drums, rope and poles using pioneering. The Outeniqua District is part of the Western Cape Region but runs its own Kon-Tiki as the District is about 6 hours drive from Cape Town where the Kon-Tiki Western Cape event is held. Each raft has a crew of 4 Scouts who spend the night on the raft.
The 2025 competition was hosted by 1st Knysna and patrols took part from 1st Knysna, 1st Plettenberg Bay, 1st George and 1st Sedgefield. The event was won by a patrol from 1st Sedgefield.
