The Roving Tea Cup is a purely social inter-crew ‘floating trophy’ for Rover crews in Gauteng. It passes from one crew to another when the two crews meet for an inter-crew social of any form. Any crew may contact the crew who currently holds the Tea Cup to organise a social with them. At the end of the social, the Tea Cup passes from one crew to the other. The intention is that this trophy should be circulated often, to promote inter-crew social activities. Examples of socials that have been carried out include:

  • A games evening
  • A weekend camp
  • A night at the movies
  • An online social eg. Playing online games
  • Visiting a climbing gym
