Gilten Patrol Leader Training Unit

The Gilten Patrol Leader Training Unit (PLTU) is the regional Patrol Leader Training Unit course run at the Gilwell Scout training grounds in Florida, Gauteng region.
An outdoor programme supports the specialised leadership training provided during the tough ten day course. The courses are staffed by fellow Scouts and Scouters or Rovers who have previously completed PLTU.
It was first run in the early 1980s and the 66th Gilten PLTU will take place in 2023.
