A Scout Troop is a collection of two or more Patrols. A Troop's main purpose is to facilitate that training of scouts.

A Troop will typically meet once a week; this can be any day of the week. Troops will usually run additional events.

A Troop also requires a Troop Scouter and a Scout Group Leader who are warranted adults that will know how to run a Troop efficiently. The way a Troop is run depends heavily on the District and the provisions of the District Commissioner.
