(Previously Oarsman (Rowing) Scout Interest Badge)

Water offers challenge, responsibility, and adventure and the Boatman Scout Interest Badge recognises Scouts who are ready to take that next step. As a Boatman, you are not just part of the crew, you are a capable and dependable sailor who can plan, lead, and safely conduct boating activities. You will develop advanced seamanship skills, deepen your understanding of water conditions, and build the confidence to take responsibility for a vessel and crew. Through practical experience, teamwork, and leadership, this badge prepares you for real-world boating situations while reinforcing safety, awareness, and respect for the water.
