Group Committee

The Group Committee is the administrative support for the Scout Group. The Group Committee meets periodically (some meet monthly and some less frequently).

Roles

The Committee is chaired by the Scout Group Leader and will typically consist of:

  • Appointed roles:
    • Treasurer (required)
    • Secretary (required)
    • Maintenance
    • Quartermaster
    • Transport
    • Marketing
    • Fundraising

Duties

Some of their duties are to:

  • Manage the funds of the troop,
  • Support the scouters to have equipment and materials for the meetings,
  • Maintain the meeting place (Scout Hall),
  • Support the planning of events.
